2008 Graduates

2008 was our second year of Thoroughbreds here in Georgia.  We placed four of Stacy and Ron's horses and in doing so, renewed a friendship started with Oyagi the year before, and made several new friends as well.

As they always do, each horse had his or her own story to share with us.  X came to us only half gelded and with an amazingly impressive bowed tendon (so impressive, in fact, that he's been invited back to UGA to have updated ultrasounds at "on the house" so his surgeon there can monitor the tendon as time goes by).  Chip (now known as Baron) is fulfilling his new mom's life-long dream of having a horse of her own.  Sugar is horse number two for her new mom Julie, and is well on her way to becoming an eventer.

Winnie holds a special place in our hearts--she made it through surgery for some incredible bone chips in her stifles and is now a proud new mama of a beautiful baby boy.  Her family lives in Florida but sent her all the way back to Kentucky to have her baby so that he'll be eligible for their Quarter Horse incentives--his father is a World Champion.  We hope that Winnie's baby will follow in his daddy's hoofprints!
