Our Recent Graduates

Final Ballad, aka Crash                                                                      Wild Storm Brewing, aka Pirate

Updated:  April 15, 2010

Pirate and Crash have found new homes!

Crash is joining her new owner Nataile at her family farm near Newnan, Georgia and will soon begin training as a barrel horse.  Natalie was a 2009 Barrel Champion, and hopes to move up through the levels with Crash.  We wish them all the best and can't wait for updates--Crash is our first horse to find herself in a mounted-games home!!!

Pirate will be staying on the farm with us at A Pinch of Luck, though he is now proudly owned by Kaytlin, one of my students.  Kaytlin is an up and coming Senior, and hopes to further her training skills as she graduates from her Quarter Horse to Pirate.  We hope that Pirate will be ready to begin over fences work soon--he and Kaytlin are working on establishing their new relationship as she learns to ride a horse with altered sight and he to believe in and trust her.

New Mare on the Way!

Key Trip is on her way down from New York.  She has raced successfully for our trainer friend King, and Athena will be bringing her down in the coming week.  She's a blood bay, a little over 16 hands tall, with hind socks and a cute snip.  Stay tuned for pictures!

Our Grey Girl is Ready for a New Home!

Grazia (who graced our site last fall as GiGi) is ready for a new home.  She spent the winter as a companion to our friend Tamera's App mare Ruby, but with the completion on Tam's new barn and her farm's in-progress transition to "Geldings Only," Grazia has come back to us to find her new family.  She's working beautifully under saddle--shows a natural lead change, is schooling well at all three gaits alone and in company, and is starting to work on cavaletti.

Bill's Fine Dancer--Back on the Site

Diva and April have worked hard to forge a partnership, but need to part company due to time issues with April's schedule.  Diva had a minor pasture accident early this sping that has left her with a swollen knee.  The knee gives her no trouble, and should in time return to normal, but a lengthy healing process and April's new job have wrecked havock on training time and have left Diva with no one to complete her training.  Prior to the accident, she was working regularly and showing tremendous progress in her training.  She's been out of regular work (thoughy she is very much ridable) since January and is itching to start back.  She is priced close to give-away to the right person who is able to give her the time and attention she so very much craves.
