Recent New Homes

Selah became Bethany's sixteenth birthday present, literally at the eleventh hour--we had lots and lots of people interested in this fabulous mare, and Bethany managed to convice her mom and dad that riding her to show her to a prospective new home was just not fair on a girl's birthday.  I got the call at 11:00 pm the day before we showed her that she was going to be Bethany's.  We're so excited that she's going to stay with us at A Pinch of Luck!

Coleslew has moved to Alabama with his new mom who is a student of Jeanne Cox.  Thirteen year old Savanah has great aspirations for her riding, and we wish her and Colby all the best as they begin training together under one of Alabama's best young rider instructors.

Simple is Best is now living in Athens with his new mom Jenny.  They will soon start his training as a hunter/jumper.  With the help from her friends, they are sure to meet all of their goals.

Soldi Perduti, who we nicknamed Soldier, is now known as Toby, and will be another foster kid turned resident for us here at A Pinch of Luck.  His new mom Jess is very excited to have him, and has great plans for this outstanding youngster.  Her first horse, Chase, also an off track Thoroughbred, is in need of a retirement home--we're looking for the perfect spot for this beautiful twenty year old chestnut to relax and smell the roses!

Bridget's Sequel Needs a Hand!

Bridget found what we had hoped would be her forever home earlier this year.  Unfortunately, her new mom abandoned her here at the farm, and she now needs a new person.  She's been living in our back pasture and has lost the roly-poly look that she had in her original pictures, but is just as cute as ever.  We're working on putting her back together, and she'll be starting work again over the next few weeks.  Her asking price is below what is owed in board and care.  The right home now more important than ever!

A Little Bird Told Us...

That Dan and John loves polo, and our friend Karen loves him.  Unfortunately, he's just crooked enough on his left front leg that playing polo will put him at risk for soundness disaster down the road.

This WONDERFUL gelding will be coming back to us at some point, and will probably stay with us for a bit.  Stay tuned, though--he may be available again to the PERFECT home!
