The handsome Charlie is here.  This attractive gelding is blessed with solid bone and a good mind, and as a bonus, is built to do anything.  Charlie is athletic and intelligent, and offers the best of both to his new partner.

Charlie is easy to work around, and enjoys being groomed.  He's a great lover of food, and it's definitely an important thing to him--he settled right into his stall and mowed through an entire net of hay by the morning after he arrived. 

We're looking forward to continuing the retraining that was started at FLTAP, and will give him a few more days to settle in before working with him under saddle.  He's reported to be kind and uncomplicated, and suitable for a rider of any level.

Charlie is from the last American crop of the stallion Menifee, who was second in both the Kentucky Derby and Preakness in 1999.  Though he didn't have his father's racing talent, he got his attractive conformation and substancial bone. 

Charlie, too, comes to us from the Fingerlakes Adoption Program, and has been well started under saddle.  He's uncomplicated to ride, and easy to handle on the ground.  This solid gelding has clean legs, great feet, and has had plenty of time to let down from the rigors of racing.

We're happy to have him coming to Georgia, and are confident that this lovely gelding will find a home where he will be loved and enjoyed.  He's suitable for riders of all levels, and is just about ready to go in any direction.

Charlie will arrive with his four shipping companions sometime towards the middle of this week.  Stay tuned for updates and pictures!
