Scooby is a very special foster kid... His last mom contacted us after reading our website and deciding that we'd be the perfect place for Scooby to find his next home since she and her husband are being stationed over seas--taking him with them just isn't a feasible option.
Scooby has been off the track since April, and he too hails from a new-to-us track. He's our first from Charlestown Race Track! He retired sound from a three year career at the track with narry a blemish. Unfortunately, he added a splint (were all race horses so lucky to only have this tiny piece of "jewelery" on their legs) after retirement while he was playing in the south Georgia sand.
He has had some retraing work done with his last mom, but really is a green prospect at this point. We're hoping for a break in the weather soon so that we can do more than play on the lunge line.
Scooby has a personality that matches his name--he loves attention and when he finds a friend he likes, he hangs out his tongue to have it scratched. This attention hound finds happiness from every new person (or dog or horse) that he meets. He is going to make his next person a fabulous friend and partner!
