Foothill
16.2 Hand Bay Gelding
Foal of 2007

Foothill is a three year old gelding who has trained at the track but never started--his connections didn't feel he had enough talent to justify the strain of racing.

He is reported to be very personable and an in-your-face sweet kind of guy.  He's also supposed to be around 17 hands, but we're estimating on the short side so we're not disappointed. 

He has clean legs and has been impeccably cared for.  He's in good weight, and has had enough training to be solid under tack.  He's a clean slate for his new person.

Foothill and his friends should be arriving mid-week the week of October 4th.  Stay tuned for conformation shots and lots more information about this attractive young gelding!



Update October 11, 2010:

"Leo" is on his way to his new home with mom, Jamie.  We can't wait for progress reports on this fantastic young man as he grows up and begins training for his new career as an eventer!

Hey Heather!
 
This is Jamie, Leo's (Foothill's) mom.  I wanted to give you an update on how everything is going.  I moved him to a hunter/jumper/eventing barn in Marietta about a month ago with a fabulous trainer.  His training is going extremely well and we have him working wonderfully under saddle and picking up his leads in both directions!  He is such a wonderful, sweet boy.  He is turning out to be everything I hoped he would.  We plan to start doing some light jumping by the new year.  I'll send some pics soon.
