Glory has a wonderful new home with Rene in South Georgia!  We couldn't be happier!!!  A phone call I took outside of the CVS Pharmacy in Farmington, NY put us together, a visit yesterday sealed the agreement with a kiss (from Glory, of course!).  She gets a wonderful new home and the opportunity to be a mommy again!  We could not be happier!!!!!

Well, we finally took pictures worthy of showing off how beautiful this mare really is.  She's started back in work, is moving beautifully at all three gaits, and is ready to go on and do whatever her new family desires her to do.  Glory enjoys working but is still pretty green to being back under saddle--she goes willingly, but needs a rider whose confidence is contagious.  The more her rider asks, the better she performs!

We were busy today--in addition to taking her new glamor shots, we also filmed a short video of her under saddle so and on the line.  It's nothing special, but does a good job of showing off how she's working now (this was her first time being ridden in the yard, usually a no-no, anyway, but a busy ring full of girls getting ready for a show made it our best option for the day).

Enjoy!!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHAIRcRIs_0&NR=1

Glory has arrived and is as big as a house!  We've ridden her once since her arrival, and are very impressed with her big shoulder and easy way of moving.  She didn't particularly mind being asked to go back to work for the first time in seven years, and was very compliant with Bethany while she went through her paces.  She was sound at the walk and the trot, but an old suspensory injury on her left hind makes cantering a bit uncomfortable for her.

She is a beautiful broodmare prospect for anyone looking to make nice sport horse babies.  Check out the links to her two daughters' pages below...  Her kids are very nice, too!

New pictures soon!  Though she looks good in these, she looks phenomonal now!

We had the pleasure of meeting Glory during our October trip to New York.  She is the mother of two foals, both graduates of A Pinch of Luck:  Gebb's Mysteri and Ireland's Princess.  Both of her daughters were a lot like her--she very much passes on her looks and temperament to her children.

Glory will be joining us from New York some time in the next few weeks, and is looking for a new home.  She's open for breeding in 2011, or is ready to be restarted as a pleasure horse.  She has a sweet personality (don't judge her less-than-happy ears in her portrait--her pasture friends were pushing her around behind the scenes, and she wasn't all that confident that we strange people were going to protect her!) and is built like a tank.
