16.3 Hand Dark Bay Gelding
Foal of 2007


Evan is a three year old gelding who has very recently concluded a not-so-successful career attempt at being a race horse.  He has a fantastic puppy dog personality and seems to have never met anyone who wasn't a friend.

He's inquisitive but very quiet and serious, and is very mature for a three year old.  He retired sound from the track and has no bad habits.  He gets along well with other horses and is very easy to work around.  He cross and single ties, ships like a pro (Athena was working on keeping him--she told me, "I don't want to give this one back!").  If 16.3 hands of black-bay boy can be precious, Evan is for sure.

Evan got here on December 9th and hasn't done anything other than jog on the line so far.  He was ridden at the FLTAP Center before coming down and they had nothing but praise for his beautiful way of going and easy demeanor under saddle.  He's scheduled to get a pair of "regular" shoes this week, and he'll be ready to go then.
