15.3 Hand Bay Gelding

Tuff is a two year old gelding who joined us from "The Truck" in June.  He's a wonderful, personable, sweet young man who is ready to start (slowly) learning all there is to know about being a horse.

He loves to be groomed, is good for the farrier, and is a total ham.  He's been ridden a few times since he arrived, and though started, is being sold as unbroke.  We were told that he had sixty days of training for the track before coming to Georgia, but recommend that his new person start him all the way back at square one.

Tuff is sound and ready to do any job.  He has some minor scarring from a close encounter with a fence as a yearling but shows no lasting ill effect from his accident.

He is presently about an inch and a half higher behind than at the wither.  We're guessing that he'll end up about 16.1 or 16.2 when he's finally done growing.  He lives outside with his best buddy Midas 24/7 and has been enjoying growing up the way young horses should.  Please excuse his sunburned coat--he's a beautiful blood bay when he's not faded!

Tuff has arrived in Santa Barbara, California!  Our first horse to cross the WHOLE COUNTRY!!  We are so excited about his future as an event horse with his young owner!
