Kwik Bullet

Kwik Bullet
16.2 Hand Bay Gelding
Foal of 2003

Kwik (pictured above in his winter woolies last fall) has joined us again at A Pinch of Luck after a winter of fun babysitting a precocious Fresian-Thoroughbred weanling turned yearling.  His mom for the winter, Paige, has found herself to be the proud owner of a fine collection of broodmares in addition to young Feinix, and felt that Kwik was not getting nearly the attention he deserved.

Over the winter he went on the occassional trail ride, but mostly enjoyed some well deserved down time.  Since coming back to the farm a few weeks ago, he's been on several rides to Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield where he's been a great leader, follower, or middle-of-the-pack kinda guy under a different rider on every trip out.  He's calm, steady, and ready to do whatever's asked (though he seems to like meandering through the woods on the buckle the best of all!).

Kwik is easy and uncomplicated to ride in the ring or on the trail, and is a famous example of what many campaigners are the best at:  having a tremendous work ethic, a willingness to please, and a serious attitude under saddle that translates into an uncomplicated and fun horse to ride.  He's raced long enough to know that when the tack goes on, the work begins.  He puts on his game face and is willing to do anything.

Kwik is wonderful for the farrier, bathing, grooming, and loving on.  He loads like a dream, will stand tied quietly all day, and will make a fantastic horse for any level of rider.  He's shown us that he's very good at gauging confidence and skill in his riders, and as such will also be a great addition to a riding program or a family with several aspiring riders to bring along.  He's fancy enough to show and honest enough to be a wonderful at home resident.  He's not fussy about where he lives--he's just as happy out as he is inside.

This wonderful horse deserves the very, very best.  We love him dearly, and are so happy to have him with us again!  More pictures of him in his BEAUTIFUL summer coat...  The head shot above was taken last fall and doesn't even begin to accurately present his striking blood bay coat.
