My Mia is well on her way to being much (more) loved by her new Mom, Julia!  Mia was the pick because of her outstanding personality and the fact that Julia instantly felt a bond with our pretty black filly.  She had some hard choosing to do between Cathedral Lodge and Mia, but Mia's hugs won out in the end!  Stay tuned for updates!!!



Update December 12, 2010:

Hi Heather,
I'm writing to update you on My Mia (a.k.a., my pampered princess). :)

She has settled well into her new home. The stables she is being boarded at now are outstanding, and only a few miles from my house.  I see Mia practically every day; and we have bonded terrifically.  

Mia has quite the personality, especially when she knows I have a treat in my pocket. Mia will "pat me down" with her nose looking for goodies.  (She does a better job than airport security.) She has been easy to catch in the pasture, but I haven't had to go get her lately; now she just comes to me when I call her name. 

Every now and then she has to be reminded to stand still when putting on tack; but once she is under the saddle, she has been an absolute dream to ride. I really look forward to the weather getting warmer, as I plan to take her on some trails.  

Mia has been an absolute joy, and exactly what I was looking for. I couldn't ask for a better horse. Thank you so much for making all this possible!
