Five Year Old
17 Hand Mare

Payton is a five year old mare who presently sticks at 17 hands.  We're pretty sure this this big girl will grow another inch or two.  She spent the last few months with a friend of ours in South Georgia, but time constraints stopped him from even starting with her under saddle, so she's back with us and still in need of a new family to call her own.

She had a baby this spring and was only started in race training as a two year old--there is no race horse brain to un-do.  She is very quiet under saddle at all gaits and has been ridden by all of my working students in lessons and in on their own time as well. 

We've taken her over a few crossrails and a small vertical or two and she takes it all in stride.  She is uncomplicated and suited for a rider of just about any level at this time.  We went schooling at a show for her third ride!
