Hunter-Jumper folks take note!!

Paris joined us from New York after our October trip.  She comes from great connections who are very happy to have her well on her way to a new home.  She raced lightly but successfully--she finished "on the board" in three of nine starts and retired with winnings just over $35,000.

She comes to us with clean legs and a great mind.  We plan on starting her under saddle shortly, and expect that this lovely mare will be just as much fun to ride as she is to see floating around our pasture.  Her trainer assured us that she's uncomplicated and easy to work with--so far we agree!

Paris gets along well with her pasture mates, and has already made herself at home her in Georgia. She is great for grooming, braiding, farrier work, and handling over all.  She has no vices, and is easy to work around in her stall.

Update December 8, 2010

Paris is in South Carolina with Jim and Shea, and has begun her retraining.  For those of you who are wondering, we're pretty sure that her troubles with her neck (she had a run-in with a pasture mate in her field that left her with a really stiff neck) are over.  On her way home, Jim had to slam the brakes to avoid hitting a vehicle that had cut them off, and she must have banged around just right--when she got of the trailer, she was back to normal.  Not in a hundred rides could we have gotten that lucky here at home!!!  We are SO glad that she's back to being the happy filly that she was when she got off our van back in October!
