Really Rockin

Really Rockin
2005 Chestnut Gelding

Rocket was our first horse to come from our friend and shipper Athena of Horse Jitney, LLC.  We had made arrangements for her to bring down some horses from Fingerlakes, and after I told her what we do here, she got in touch with a trainer friend of hers who needed to place a horse, and five days later, Rocket walked off the van after Patty's Two Punch, Lia's Wish, Orient Sont, and Key Strategy.

Rocket had knee surgery in the early spring of 2009 and had been carefully rehabbed by his trainer.  After the four months of rehab and a brief return to training, his trainer decided that the best thing for him was to be retired--and then he called me a day after he made it to Georgia and asked if I wanted to race him again.  I laughed, and told him nah, he was already convinced that retirement was already suiting him.

He now lives with Bunnyinthebank and Orient Song in South Carolina and is loved so much by his new mom Denise.  He is a wonderful horse with the greatest outlook on life, and they are a fantastic pair.
