Sidewinder

Sidewinder
17 Hand Black Gelding
Foal of 2005

December 10, 2010

Sidewinder is on the way to Georgia!  He got on the van today, and should be here by Sunday.  We're excited to add this beautiful gelding to the family.  He comes from a wonderful trainer in Ohio who took him in a few months back.  When he came to her he was extremely thin, and she has worked diligently (and successfully) to bring him back to a healthy weight.  Though he's no chunky-monkey yet, he at least has some meat on his bones and is beginning to look like a horse, not a skeleton!

This handsome dude has great legs, nice conformation, and is ready to go to work--he's been enjoying life on the farm since October.  He has no vices and is reported to be an uncomplicated horse to handle and ride.

We can't wait for him to get here!

What a cool horse!!  Sidewinder became Athena's favorite during his LONG ride south from Ohio (there were several stops before A Pinch of Luck, so he and Hull Bay enjoyed a leisurely ride south).

We've put several rides on this neat guy, and he's not only a ton of fun to ride, but uncomplicated as well.  The girls really enjoy him and say that he's super comfortable to sit on.

He was wonderful for the farrier when he had his new shoes put on, and he's ready to go in any direction.  We've popped him over a couple small cross rails and other than being unsure of a new task, is willing to do whatever is asked of him.

No vices, great ground manners, what more could we ask for?
