Frosty had his first ride this week, and was absolutely amazing.  April's comment was was to say that, "He's a kid's horse in the making for sure!"  She adores him and was the one to say that he just simply had to stay with us instead of getting back on The Truck.

This sweet boy seems to never put a foot out of line.  He was a star for the farrier and never moved a muscle as he had his feet done.  He's as quiet as a church mouse in his stall and in the paddock, loves to be groomed and doted on, and was a piece of cake to ride.

Frosty is an outstanding young gelding with so, so much to offer in addition to his unique paint job.  He's ready and willing to do anything and should be a wonderful partner for a rider of almost any level!

Stay tuned for more updates!!!!!

So before we even knew his name, April had decided that this cute gelding needed a name that would draw attention to his silver and chestnut mane...  We thought of "Ice" but I had a stallion with that barn name, and we try not to bring back names from the past...  After we looked him up this evening and found out his real name, Frosty just popped up, and for now, Frosty he is.

Frosty is right around 16 hands tall, and appears as though he should grow a bit more.  He has clean, cold legs, and is easy to handle on the ground--he came off The Truck, settled in his stall, drank, ate, and then came out to be identified and fussed over.  Other than the occassional nervous whinny, he was a champ, and was happy to let me work on and around him.

We plan on taking his pictures tomorrow!
