16.3 Hand Bay Gelding
Foal of 2008

Midas joined us from "The Truck" in April of this year.  We're told that he comes from a good farm and is by the stallion Midas Eyes.  He's a HUGE baby, and definitely still growing.  He didn't make it past sixty days of training because he couldn't get his L-O-N-G legs untangled enough to show any talent for racing.

Because he's so tall and gawky, we've done nothing but school ground manners and let him spend time just being a kid out in the field with his buddy Tuff.  They're out 24/7 and are enjoying the last days of their non-working lives.

Midas has clean legs with no soundness issues.  His feet are strong and show great wall and concavity.  He is a smart student for his ground lessons and retains them well.  He's up for anything and has a willing and curious outlook about anything he faces.

He is current on everything and ready to go to a great home who is willing to give him the time he needs to finish maturing.  His coat has faded considerably since we turned him out full time, but we're not too worried!  It's been great for him to be out and before too long, his sunburned coat will turn into a wooly bear coat of winter.

Update November 22, 2010:

Hey lady! Wow u got a great line up of new babies!! I'm IN LOVE WITH PERSEVERANCE!! What her breeding & how much for her? Holy moly she is NICE! You think she and Dixon would get along? They certainly would be a matched pair in the pasture. Too bad he's a gelding! LOL

Dixon has just all of a sudden blossomed! He has become so energetic & muscular. I could only imagine what an amazing race horse he would have been if they had only waited til he was 3 to start him. I've started lightly lunging him & will start light flatwork in a week. Hoping to take him to his first show at the end of Jan in some walk/trot classes. I know he will love the socialization! He thinks everyone has a treat for him & will frisk you for it. What can I say, his mom is a cop! Lol I hope all is well with you & I promise to send more pics & possibly video. Thank you!!
